SHUTTER SPEED
Shutter speed is the length of time a camera sensor is exposed to light when taking a photo.
Shutter speed affects:
-
Exposure
-
Motion
How does shutter speed affect exposure?
A slower shutter speed (say 1/25) holds open the shutter for a longer time, allowing more light to enter, and creating a brighter image (and vice-versa).

How does shutter speed affect motion?
Shutter speed also affects the quality of the motion we capture in images. Slow shutter speeds capture the blur of subjects in motion, while short shutter speeds freeze subjects with no blurring.
